Fortitude's slightly longer cut gives greater comfort and protection when hill-walking. Its got a slightly looser fit than our other waterproofs so you can layer up and keep warm as the temperature drops.
Its 3-layer breathable and waterproof membrane gives all-day comfort and wet weather protection. The fully adjustable wired peak hood with drawcord and rear toggle makes the practical hood easy to wear in wet and windy conditions. And the waist and hem draw-cords allow you to perfect the fit and cinch down in bad weather or when wearing fewer layers.
It's OS map-sized pockets that sit clear of the rucksack hip belts complete the feature set of a classic outdoor waterproof.

Reducing our impact
Fortitude is made with 100% recycled face fabric. The Durable Water Repellent treatment is made free from PFC's. Fabric is 70D making it highly durable and hardwearing particularly when regularly cleaned and reproofed with Nikwax, Granger or our own Alpkit Care and Reproof Kit.

āFor Fortitude weāve merged high performance technology with environmentally responsible choices to create a hardshell that hits back in rough weather. When youāve a big day in the hills planned, you want a jacket thatāll give reliable protection and excellent coverage from everything the elements can throw at you. Fortitudeās longer cut and 3-layer construction fit the bill.
We needed to protect against the rough and tumble of the hills too so have used 70D polyester on the outer thatās super hardwearing and made from 100% recycled content. Fortitude is designed it to work as part of a hillwalking system: a regular fit for layers, main pockets that can be accessed while wearing a pack, a chest pocket thatāll fit an OS map and an adjustable fit and storm flaps to keep the outside out.ā
